La propuesta musical para hoy: 47 'Shot it down', de Neil Young

Young ha superado ampliamente los 70 años, pero su obra sigue igual de viva y tan rabiosa que siempre. Su último disco, editado el año pasado, se titula Colorado y es magnífico. Incluye canciones de gran calado musical y emocional como Think on me o She showed me love, pero pasó desapercibido y ahora recupera actualidad gracias a la pandemia del Covid-19. ¿Qué ha hecho Neil Young? Ha usado una magnífica canción incluida en él, titulada Shut it down y centrada en el necesario cuidado del medio ambiente que siempre defiende el músico, para usar su audio y grabar un vídeo nuevo ligado a la coyuntura actual que vivimos.

"Nunca antes en la historia humana nuestro planeta se ha unido de esta manera, utilizando comunicaciones modernas para garantizar que todos comprendan que la responsabilidad hacia nuestro prójimo y la vida continua de la Humanidad depende de las acciones de cada persona", ha explicado en Neil Young Archives, página de consulta obligada, ya que ofrece cantidad de música gratuita y, a veces, hasta inédita. En su opinión, "solo el comportamiento humano desinteresado puede detener la propagación del mortal Coronavirus en este punto".
