La primera entrega se llamará The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, y en ella Daniel Craig, el actual James Bond, dará vida a Michael Blomqvist, el periodista que comienza a investigar junto a Salander la desaparición de una joven en una trama que se tornará más compleja de lo que inicialmente creen.

En el reparto encontraremos también a Stellan Skarsgard, Robin Wright, Max von Sydow, Christopher Plummer y Joely Richardson entre otros.
